Electrodeposited zinc or zinc alloy coatings

DBL 8451 describes the special requirements, properties, and planning data for parts with electrodeposited zinc and zinc alloy coatings and subsequent post treatment. Although the End-of-Life Vehicle Act does not currently apply to heavy-duty trucks or buses, for reasons of variant reduction in new designs, consideration should be given to also specifying Cr(VI)-free surfaces for commercial vehicle parts. The function properties shall be checked when changing to Cr(VI)-free surfaces.
