Zinc Iron Plating

DIN – DIN 50962

This standard covers chromate conversion coatings on electroplated zinc
alloy coatings containing nickel or iron and/or cobalt that are applied to
ferrous substrates. Such coating systems serve as corrosionprotection
and/or as decoration.

This standard specifies requirements for corrosion resistance under various
service conditions, as well as for the minimum local coating thickness.

See ISO 4042 for dimensional requirements for electroplated threaded
components.

This standard does not apply to semi finished products.
