This specification defines performance requirements for various electrolytically deposited zinc-cobalt, zinc-nickel and zinc- iron alloy coatings and their associated conversion coatings, used to enhance corrosion resistance on ferrous parts. This specification applies for either a rack or barrel plating process. The conversion coating material specified herein shall contain no hexavalent chromium as it is forbidden by applicable government and industry regulations.
