John Deere – JDS 117

JDS 117 specifies requirements for electroplated coatings of zinc and of
zinc cobalt alloy on ferrous parts for protection against corrosion. JDS 117
does not apply to coatings applied to sheet, strip or wire in the
unfabricated form, or to coil springs. It does not specify the surface
condition of the base metal prior to coating, coating allowances (if any)
for threaded parts, or thread limits either before or after coating (See
3.1).
